DAVID McKERAN is a conceptual artist whose work is filled with wit and irony. Working through various mediums, McKeran makes paintings, drawings and photographs expressing anything from his preoccupations with sex cards, spelling mistakes, appropriated painting styles or appropriated slogans and computer game graphics.
McKeran displays a deadpan sense of humorous observation when
reworking his original source material, derived from a personal
preoccupation with specific elements of his everyday existence
past and present. Led by the idea rather than a prescribed
medium, his work is immaculately presented, being finished to absolute technical perfection.
