TERRY TAYLOR creates photographs that take their place within the tradition of sublime landscape. They evolve from intuitively determined photographs taken whilst walking in remote countryside. Taylor records multiple images from a single viewpoint that capture a 180 degree view of a vista. He then weaves up to forty images together seamlessly to form subtly manipulated photographs that have slightly distorted perspectives and impossible viewpoints. The result is a celebration of the raw power of the natural landscape where manmade elements have been removed. We are treated to a view of how the world could have been before the intervention of civilisation.
